Position Overview
The Commercial Construction Foreman will oversee and coordinate daily operations on commercial construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage subcontractors, crews, and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct construction crews and subcontractors on-site.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to guide construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
- Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and report updates to project managers.
- Inspect work to ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to maintain high performance.
- Prepare daily logs, reports, and documentation for project tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling, resource management, and reporting.
- Familiarity with construction software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Certification in construction safety (OSHA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
