Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Heavy Industry Sales Regional Manager to lead business development and customer relationship management within the heavy industry sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing regional sales, identifying new business opportunities, strengthening strategic customer partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical and commercial solutions.

This role requires a proactive sales professional with strong leadership, business development, and account management skills, coupled with a solid understanding of industrial operations and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the heavy industry sector.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Manage key customer accounts and provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements within company guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical, service, supply chain, and internal support teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the assigned region.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on pipeline activities and business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions where required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, industrial sales, business development, or account management within the heavy industry sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing key accounts and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
