Tobacco Blender
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
We are looking for a technically strong Tobacco Blender to take ownership of developing, maintaining, and optimizing our clients’ tobacco blends. You will ensure consistent product quality, taste, and aroma while maintaining cost efficiency, working closely with our procurement and manufacturing teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Blend & Optimize: Develop and maintain tobacco blends in line with brand specifications and cost targets.
- Sensory & Quality Control: Conduct regular sensory assessments and organoleptic evaluations to ensure batch consistency.
- Leaf Evaluation: Assess leaf quality, grades, and suitability; collaborate with procurement teams on crop utilization strategies.
- Production Support: Provide technical guidance to factory teams to ensure precise blend execution.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Food/Tobacco Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Strong background in handling tobacco leaf grades, processing, buying, or blend formulation.
- Skills: Deep knowledge of tobacco types, curing methods, and exceptional sensory perception.
- Profile: A commercial mindset with sharp attention to detail.
