Our client in Maputo is looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their team within the FMCG Sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the procurement of goods and services required for business operations.
  • Request and compare supplier quotations, issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Monitor stock levels and support product replenishment activities.
  • Organize procurement documentation, contracts, invoices, and reports.
  • Work closely with the Logistics, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Assist with import processes, inventory activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and financial control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree or ongoing studies in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, or Retail is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and inventory management skills.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; English proficiency will be considered an advantage.
  • Proactive, responsible, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
