Our client in the Stockfeed sector, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Retail Manager to lead and scale a national retail division based in Harare. The role will take full responsibility for a network of multiple outlets, driving sales performance, operational excellence, and market penetration across a diverse product range.

 

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing a multi-branch retail network, including both company-owned outlets and agent channels
  • Driving sales growth, volume performance, and market share across poultry, livestock, and related product lines
  • Managing and optimising relationships with agents, distributors, and key customers
  • Overseeing stock control, inventory management, and product availability across all locations
  • Developing and executing retail and channel strategies to enhance performance and profitability
  • Monitoring pricing, competitor activity, and market trends to maintain competitive positioning
  • Ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and consistency across all retail sites
  • Leading, coaching, and developing retail teams to deliver high performance

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field (MBA advantageous)
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in retail, sales, or distribution management
  • Strong experience in multi-site operations and managing agent/distribution networks
  • Background in stockfeed, agribusiness, FMCG, or general trade environments preferred
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing P&L performance
  • Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and operational execution skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, price-sensitive market
