  • Develop and implement the Group’s technical and operational strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the operational and technical performance of multiple manufacturing facilities, providing guidance and support to plant management teams.
  • Monitor and drive operational KPIs to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization across all manufacturing operations.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Streamline manufacturing processes and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Provide technical recommendations on machinery procurement and assess equipment prior to acquisition to ensure operational suitability and efficiency.
  • Oversee the operations of the Group Technical Center, ensuring it supports product development, manufacturing innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing technical team across the Group’s operations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the technical and operational teams.
  • Identify operational risks and technical vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements within the tobacco sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in the tobacco manufacturing industry, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing multiple production facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tobacco manufacturing machinery and production processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in French an added advantage.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
