Our client in Burundi is looking for a General Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the hospitality industry.

- Oversee the overall operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient daily functioning
- Drive exceptional guest experience and service quality in line with boutique hospitality standards
- Manage and supervise all departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies
- Lead, train, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and performance-driven culture
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Support sales and marketing initiatives to enhance occupancy and brand visibility
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- A postgraduate qualification (e.g., master’s in hospitality management or MBA) is an advantage
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within a hotel environment
- Strong operational and commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in French is a strong advantage
- Experience in East Africa or similar markets is an added advantage
