Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support, ensure seamless system functionality, and deliver timely solutions to both hardware and software-related challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, networks, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain and monitor local area networks, servers, Wi-Fi, switches, and firewalls
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access control
  • Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures
  • Track and resolve support tickets within agreed timelines
  • Support cybersecurity measures, antivirus updates, and patch management
  • Prepare technical reports, asset registers, and service documentation
  • Train users on IT systems, policies, and safe computing practices

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in IT support or technical services environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with printers, routers, switches, and structured cabling
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or cloud technologies is an added advantage
  • A+ / N+ / CCNA / MCSE certificates are a strong advantage
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
