Our client in Maputo is looking for a Mechanic Technician to join their team for a job vacancy within the FMCG Sector.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance staff.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Inspect and test machinery to identify potential problems.
- Order and replace defective parts as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging.
