Our client in Pemba is looking for a Site Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Construction Sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the general plan for the execution of the work, defining schedules, stages and main milestones.
- Ensure compatibility between engineering projects, budget and schedule.
- Coordinate the execution of construction activities according to projects, specifications and applicable technical standards.
- Ensure the quality control of the materials and services performed.
- Analyze and approve daily and weekly reports of the physical progress of the work.
- Control and validate measurements of contractors and subcontractors.
- Track direct and indirect costs, ensuring compliance with the budget.
- Support the financial department in the management of invoices and cash flow of the work.
- Lead and supervise the technical, administrative and worker team of the work.
- Promote an environment of safety, productivity and professional development.
- Evaluate performance and propose training measures for team members.
- Supervise the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Plan (PSST).
- Represent the company with the client, inspection, suppliers and public entities.
- Participate in work meetings, reports and progress presentations.
- Coordinate the preparation of as-built, technical dossier and final reports.
- Conduct lessons learned and contract closure meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
- Master’s degree in project management or related fields will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction works.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as Site Manager in large projects.
- Experience in oil and gas projects, industrial infrastructures or multinational civil construction will be valued.
- Domain of construction planning, cost control and contract management.
- Knowledge of quality, safety and environmental standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Technical Skills: MS Project / Primavera P6, AutoCAD / Revit / Civil 3D, advanced Excel, Power BI, ERP / Construction management software.
- PMP® (Project Management Professional) e IPMA® Level C/B/A – International Project Management Association,
- Certified in QHSE/HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) – recognized by NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent.
- Portuguese, English, and French is a plus.
