Our client in Pemba is looking for a Senior Civil Project  Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Construction Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Define, in coordination with the Management, the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and align operational objectives with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual clauses, including performance indicators (SLA’s, KPI’s and QHSE).
  • Identify new business opportunities and complementary contracts, maintaining an active relationship with the customer and stakeholders.
  • Support Management in defining commercial policies and growth strategies in the rehabilitation, infrastructure and Oil & Gas segments.
  • Represent the company in institutional meetings, technical commissions and external audits, ensuring high-level ethical and technical positioning.
  • Lead the preparation, validation and updating of physical-financial schedules, ensuring coherence between scope, resources and deadlines.
  • Supervise the Engineering, Foremen, QHSE and Subcontractors teams, promoting synergy and alignment with the PEP.
  • Validate drawings, technical specifications, construction methodologies and as-built drawings.
  • Coordinate progress meetings and monthly Progress Reports for the Board and the client.
  • Ensure integration between disciplines (civil, electrical, hydraulic, metalworking), avoid rework and technical deviations.
  • Implement and supervise the Quality, Safety and Environmental Plans (PQA, HSE Plan), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Control the overall project budget (CAPEX/OPEX) and ensure its execution according to internal approvals.
  • Validate measurements, records and invoicing of subcontractors, ensuring traceability and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a postgraduate degree or MBA in Project Management).
  • Minimum of 15 years in civil construction, with at least 7 in large-scale project management (rehabilitation, infrastructure, Oil & Gas).
  • Planning (MS Project/Primavera P6), Cost Control, Contract Management, Risk Management and QHSE.
  • PMP®, IPMA® or equivalent (desirable).
  • Portuguese and English, French is a plus.
