About the Role:
Are you a seasoned financial expert ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our company? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Divisional Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of one of our divisions. As a divisional financial manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the divisional financial team, ensuring all tasks are up to date, ensuring compliance with financial controls, conducting recons, etc. If you are ready to make a significant impact and take your career to new heights, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss
statements.
• Strategic Insights: Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior
management to support decision-making.
• Cost Management: Analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to
improve profitability.
• Risk Management: Manage risk by conducting daily and/or regular reconciliations and other controls.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align financial controls with overall business operations.
• Financial Record Management: Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records, transactions and
documentation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting.
• ZICA or other relevant professional certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in forecasting, analysis and
reporting.
• 2 years of experience in Audit as an audit manager will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a financial team.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software, Sage experience would be advantageous, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel.
