General Manager: Sales & Distribution

Location: Harare

Our client in the FMCG Distribution sector is looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial leader to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute long-term business strategies.
  • Drive customer service excellence and operational performance.
  • Manage sales, distribution, and cross-functional teams.
  • Grow volumes across current product lines and introduce new products.
  • Oversee facilities, infrastructure, and IT systems to support growth.
  • Build value-added processing operations.
  • Maintain brand equity and optimize pricing, stock, and waste control.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and distribution management.
  • Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen.
  • Leadership of large teams with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Adaptable to dynamic market conditions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
