Maintenance & Operations Supervisor – Open Pit Mining

Description:
An established mining and earthmoving contractor is seeking skilled Maintenance and Operations Supervisors to oversee open-pit activities and lead teams across a large mining fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily maintenance and operational activities for excavators, dump trucks, dozers, graders, and drills.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor production and equipment uptime to meet project targets.
- Lead and mentor operators, artisans, and support crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with site management to implement maintenance schedules and operational improvements.
- Maintain accurate shift reports, logs, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in open-pit mining operations, including 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Komatsu, Caterpillar, Liebherr, and Epiroc machinery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a production-driven environment.
