Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international group with operations across West and Southern Africa.
Location: Remote
French language required.
As Financial Officer (RFC), you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations across the West African region. This role requires a qualified finance professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management within a multinational or multi-country environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management

Lead and oversee regional financial operations, budgeting, and forecasting.

Implement and maintain accounting policies aligned with group standards.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements (IFRS, OHADA).

Maintain effective internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Supervise accounting structures and manage outsourced finance functions.
Financial Transactions & Reporting

Oversee payables, receivables, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and statements.

Coordinate audits and statutory reporting.

Deliver financial insights and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting & Planning
-
Develop budgeting tools and oversee regional financial planning cycles.

Conduct financial analysis for capital investments, pricing, and contracts.

Monitor variances and report significant deviations to management.
Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure tax, audit, and statutory compliance across jurisdictions.

Identify and mitigate financial risks and prevent revenue leakage.
People & Systems Management

Supervise and develop local finance teams across multiple countries.

Lead finance digitalisation and systems improvement initiatives.
Profile Requirements
Qualifications:

Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior financial management role within Francophone Africa.

Experience in multinational operations and cross-border financial reporting.

Strong understanding of IFRS and OHADA accounting standards.
