Role Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and performance-driven Sales Team Leader to manage and energise a frontline sales team within a busy automotive retail environment. This role is central to driving revenue growth across vehicle parts and accessories, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational discipline across the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Sales Assistants, ensuring daily targets are met across walk-in and counter sales
  • Drive product knowledge and upselling strategies across vehicle parts, lubricants, batteries, and accessories
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and disciplinary support where needed
  • Ensure accurate stock handling, merchandising, and promotional execution on the shop floor
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints with professionalism and urgency
  • Collaborate with branch management on pricing, inventory, and supplier coordination
  • Maintain records of team attendance, performance, and compliance with company policies
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of sales staff

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate; Diploma in Sales, Automotive Technology, or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within automotive retail or parts distribution
  • Strong understanding of vehicle components and aftermarket products
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
