Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and performance-driven Sales Team Leader to manage and energise a frontline sales team within a busy automotive retail environment. This role is central to driving revenue growth across vehicle parts and accessories, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational discipline across the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Sales Assistants, ensuring daily targets are met across walk-in and counter sales
- Drive product knowledge and upselling strategies across vehicle parts, lubricants, batteries, and accessories
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and disciplinary support where needed
- Ensure accurate stock handling, merchandising, and promotional execution on the shop floor
- Resolve customer queries and complaints with professionalism and urgency
- Collaborate with branch management on pricing, inventory, and supplier coordination
- Maintain records of team attendance, performance, and compliance with company policies
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of sales staff
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 certificate; Diploma in Sales, Automotive Technology, or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within automotive retail or parts distribution
- Strong understanding of vehicle components and aftermarket products
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
