Travel Consultant
Location: Victoria Falls (remote option from Harare possible)
My client, a diversified investment group with strong interests in tourism and travel services, is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join their team. The role requires someone with great enthusiasm for tourism, deep knowledge of travel planning, and a customer-first approach. The successful candidate will help grow the business by delivering exceptional service, building client relationships, and promoting unforgettable travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all travel bookings for the organisation
Research destinations, pricing, and travel options with a strong focus on local and regional offerings
Diagnose client needs and recommend suitable travel packages or services
Organise itineraries end-to-end (tickets, accommodation, transport, activities)
Provide clients with accurate and useful travel information and resources
Collect payments, manage records, and ensure accurate financial tracking
Develop promotional materials, presentations, and campaigns to attract clients and agents
Build and maintain relationships with agents, clients, and trade organisations
Handle unforeseen travel issues and complaints with professionalism
Manage a small team and monitor performance against revenue/profit targets
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Travel Consultant
Excellent knowledge of travel software (reservations, GDS systems, e-travel)
Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
Strong sales ability and customer-focused approach
Well-versed in various travel types (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual)
Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or related field
Flexibility with working hours and the ability to manage crises effectively
