Key Purpose of the Role:
The General Manager will strategically manage the company to achieve its organizational objectives and create and sustain a profitable environment, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. They will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of Operations to be able to adequately advise in decision-making and ensure company growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:
o
Lead team activities to ensure Group objectives are accomplished in a safe,timely, cost-effective manner, and according to the highest qualityspecifications.
o
Provide feedback at regular intervals to team members and conductperformance evaluations of assigned team members.
o
Supervise, coach, and train new and current employees.
o
Plan, direct, and coordinate shifts and activities of workers to meet productionschedules.
o
Identify training and developmental needs and conduct required training forassigned employee groups.
o
Implement a successful organizational culture.

Operations Management:
o
Determine and allocate resources accordingly.
o
Communicate the business objectives to the team, and closely monitorperformance against these objectives.
o
Take accountability for continuous improvement of the region.
o
Consolidate reporting requirements for the region.
o
Ensure that invoicing is processed timeously.
o
Manage budgets and improve revenue within the region.
o
Monitor the work area to ensure that a safe environment is maintained and allsafety rules are followed.
o
Manage the region’s financial performance to assure that a quality product isprovided at the least possible cost.
o
Exercise judgment based on data and logic within set parameters andguidelines.
o
Anticipate a broad range of problems and develop solutions.
o
Implement a BBBEE strategy to meet company targets.

Customer Relationship Management:
o
Develop and manage relationships with relevant persons internally andexternally.
o
Communicate with all stakeholders on outstanding information or queriestimeously.
o
Build the company image by collaborating with customers, government,community organizations, and employees.
o
Drive brand awareness.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education and Experience Requirement:
o
Bachelor of Science Degree.
o
Business Management qualification is an added advantage.
o
Minimum of 10 years’ management experience.
o
Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position and within a similarindustry.
o
Previous experience in a company reporting into a group structure is an addedadvantage.
o
Very strong academics are a bonus but not a deal-breaker.
