Our client in Harare is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the FMCG Production industry.
An established FMCG company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its confectionary production operations. The role focuses on managing high-volume production of baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, and driving operational excellence across a diverse product range that includes breads, rolls, pies, cakes, and other confectionary items. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production, ensuring efficiency, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety standards.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing daily confectionary and bakery production operations to ensure efficiency, freshness, and consistency.
- Implementing and maintaining robust quality control and assurance processes.
- Leading production teams to meet performance targets while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with supply chain and distribution teams to ensure timely product delivery to outlets.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Preparing and analysing operational reports to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- A degree in Food Science, Production Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in FMCG production management, preferably within bakery, confectionary, or food processing.
- Strong background in quality control and food safety management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in managing production teams and meeting output targets.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
