Our client in Nigeria is looking for a Technician: Hot Induction Bending to join their team for a job vacancy within the oil & gas industry.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain hot induction bending machines for pipes ranging in various diameters and thicknesses.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate bend angles, radii, and tolerances.
• Monitor temperature control, bending speeds, and machine parameters to prevent defects and ensure product quality.
• Conduct dimensional inspections and non-destructive tests (NDT) post-bending to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and control system issues related to induction bending equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations throughout the bending process.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and fabrication teams to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain records of bending parameters, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hot induction pipe bending within the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy), and post-bending heat treatment requirements.
• Proficient in the use of measuring tools, alignment jigs, and inspection gauges.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, and ISO standards related to pipeline fabrication.
• Understanding of PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems is a plus.
