Our client in Nigeria is looking for a Technical Manager: Pipe Bending, Coating & Manufacturing to join their team for a job vacancy within the oil & gas industry.

• Provide expert advice on pipe bending techniques, including induction bending, cold bending, and hot bending, with consideration for materials, tolerances, and project requirements.
• Lead evaluation and optimization of pipe coating methods.
• Advise senior management on manufacturing strategies, equipment selection, and process improvements for enhanced productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct technical reviews of project specifications and recommend the most suitable manufacturing and coating approaches.
• Stay current with industry standards and technological advancements, ensuring that company practices meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support troubleshooting of technical issues during production, providing guidance to engineering and QA/QC teams.
• Contribute to technical training and mentoring of junior engineers and production teams.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, vendors, and industry bodies as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in pipe bending, coating, and manufacturing processes in the oil and gas
sector.
• Proven track record of working with international organizations.
• In-depth knowledge of materials science, pipe forming / bending, and protective coating technologies.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.
• Project management skills
