Our client in Maputo is looking for Shop Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Retail Sector.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Implement and enforce store policies and procedures to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.
- Manage and motivate retail staff, providing coaching and support for professional development.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the store’s visual merchandiser to create appealing product displays.
- Conduct regular meetings with the retail team to communicate goals, expectations and updates.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape to drive innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a retail manager or a store manager.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations and inventory management.
- Understanding of sales techniques and customer service best practices in India.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
