Client description
Our client is a leading ceramics and home finishing solutions brand in Kenya, specializing in
premium floor and wall tiles as well as a wide range of house finishing accessories,
including toilets, kitchen sinks, and related fittings.

Job Objective
The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to
establish the brand as Kenya’s leading high-end tile and building materials provider. The role
focuses on brand positioning, showroom visibility, B2B channel development, and large
scale promotional initiatives, with an emphasis on innovation, premium customer
experience, and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Brand Development

  • Design and execute marketing strategies to position the brand as a top high-end tile
    brand in Kenya.
  • Enhance visibility across showrooms (80% focus) and specialized channels (20%).
    Implement campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and sales performance in line with business objectives.

Channel Development & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build systematic growth within the tiler/designer channel, including rebate operations for paving workers.
  • Develop B2B partnerships with masons, contractors, and designers to drive showroom and project sales.
  • Coordinate industry events, artisan training, certification programs, and large-scale
    promotional summits (100+ participants).

Event & Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute large-scale themed events (e.g., showroom openings, annual fairs,
    designer salons, holiday campaigns).
  • Manage online and offline campaigns to enhance showroom traffic and market awareness.
  • Collaborate with local influencers and media partners to expand brand reach.

Digital Marketing & Content Development

  • Oversee social media operations, content matrix development, and digital advertising strategies.
  • Ensure brand communication is consistent, creative, and resonates with high-end market positioning.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, train, and develop the marketing team to enhance performance and execution capabilities.
  • Conduct regular skills training in event planning, negotiation, and new media operations.

Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze campaign performance, showroom data, and advertising metrics to guide
    strategy adjustments.
  • Prepare regular marketing performance reports for senior management.

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in high-end retail brands or
    international building materials.
  • Experience in developing marketing strategies and executing large-scale events
    (budgets over 100,000 RMB).
  • Familiarity with the high-end building materials market in Kenya or East Africa is
    preferred.
  • Experience in B2B channel development within the construction industry is an
    advantage.

Educational Background & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Interior Design, Marketing, or other
    design-related fields.
