Our client is a leading ceramics and home finishing solutions brand in Kenya, specializing in premium floor and wall tiles as well as a wide range of house finishing accessories, including toilets, kitchen sinks, and related fittings.
Job Objective
The Brand Store Manager will oversee all sales and marketing activities within the showroom, achieve sales targets, ensure business growth and profitability, and align operations with the company’s strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing Management
- Supervise all showroom sales and marketing activities.
- Execute marketing campaigns within approved budgets to maintain market leadership.
- Develop and implement product promotion strategies and event plans.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and planning systems.
- Ensure compliance with payment procedures and prioritize staff and customer safety.
- Supervise proper functioning of showroom IT systems and other equipment.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory movements (inbound, outbound, transfers, sales) to minimize shortages.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Ensure correct product labeling and organized sample display.
Customer Service & Satisfaction
- Guide sales and customer service teams to improve performance and customer experience.
- Maintain and update customer databases and visitor records.
- Handle wholesale and project orders, coordinating timely deliveries.
Showroom Presentation
- Optimize product displays, store layout, and customer flow for sales and aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness and visual attractiveness.
Team Management
- Train and supervise employees on sales techniques, customer service, and inventory management.
- Monitor performance and ensure adherence to operational standards.
Cost & Profitability Control
- Monitor and control operational costs to ensure profitability.
Additional Responsibilities
- Train team members to achieve sales goals and improve skills, performance, and professionalism.
- Manage employee performance, KPIs, and workplace relationships.
- Coordinate with warehouse, planning, and logistics departments to meet customer needs.
- Develop online promotion strategies via Douyin and at least three other digital platforms.
- Proactively report potential sales shortfalls and other crisis situations to management.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of store sales and management experience.
- At least 3 years of cross-cultural management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in building materials (especially ceramic tiles or sanitary ware) sales management.
- Must have directly managed a team of 10 or more employees.
- Experience running a showroom with monthly sales exceeding USD 100,000 is preferred.
Educational Background & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or International Trade or any related field..
- Candidates with retail sales certification or awards in large-scale store promotion are highly preferred.
