Credit Manager
Our client in the Microfinance industry in Harare is looking for a Credit Manager to join their team.
We are seeking a mature, well-presented, and articulate professional with strong instincts, excellent judgment, and a proactive mindset to join their team as a Credit Manager. This role suits a logical, confident decision-maker who can take calculated risks and lead a high-performing team.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a credit team
- Strong experience in credit analysis, SME lending, and client relationship management in Zimbabwe
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and technologically proficient
- Highly attentive to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive growth of the loan book while maintaining high-quality credit standards and minimizing arrears
- Lead, coach, and mentor Credit Officers to meet targets and deliver excellent client service
- Review and approve loan applications using objective, conservative credit risk analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to maximize satisfaction and loyalty
- Contribute to the development of credit strategies, policies, and market positioning
- Collaborate with Credit Recoveries to manage delinquency and ensure effective recovery of loan
