Sales Representative – Steel Industry

Location: Harare
Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth and expand market share for steel products by developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with new and existing clients in the steel sector.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Provide technical advice and product knowledge to customers regarding steel products and applications.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, production, and accounts) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and forecasts in CRM systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in sales; previous experience in steel sales with an existing client base is a major advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and advise clients on appropriate solutions.
  • Results-driven with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
