Overview

To grow the Brands footprint by leveraging a successful franchisee and Landlord relationship that extends the Brand to where Zambian consumers of all markets live, work, shop and play. The incumbent of this role will focus expanding the Leading Brands store network across Zambia.

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION

  • The candidate must be able to apply a systematic approach to the execution of their role
  • Find innovative ways of securing sites in non-traditional areas to grow our new formats in a changing landscape
  • Forward thinking approach to drive an increase in footprint. Candidate is actively studying and analyzing the changing consumer climate
  • Provides assistance to the Franchisee and the region to relocate targeted restaurants by use of location-based information including existing gap analysis tools
  • Aids the Franchisees and the region with rental reductions
  • Complete rental benchmarking modules and comparisons across all brands and trading formats
  • Complete all site assessments and evaluate viability of each site in terms of brand proximity, competitor analysis, demographics and location-based performance
  • Drive individual brand presentations in terms of trading formats, market segmentation, set up costs and financial modelling for external presentation purposes
  • Act as custodian between Landlords, Developers and New Business Department across all brands
  • Update and compile comprehensive reports for all site assessments where required
  • Acts with speed to establish roll out schedules and proactively drive action to remove bottlenecks in the process of Restaurant Development at the company
  • Ensures there is a regular status update meeting with actions being executed and updated on a regular basis
  • Explore the use of Geospatial Information System (Business intelligence tool giving decision-makers the ability to compare company data on consumers, sales patterns and customer trends with census and geo-demographic information such as Living Standards Measures (LSMs).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education

  • Suitable tertiary qualification
  • BCom Business or BSC in Property Science preferable

Experience

  • Large retail and Commercial Real Estate experience in field is mandatory
  • Advantageous track record of exposure to landlords and renewals
  • Has directly reported to an Executive before and understands the demands
  • Proven track record in positive negotiation outcomes and is agile to changing scenarios in a changing consumer landscape
