- Analyse and review monthly results.
- Perform variance analysis against current and prior year monthly results.
- Provide support and strategic input to management.
- Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Prepare monthly management reports
- Responsibility for Financial Control and record keeping
- Development of financial control systems and procedures
- Responsibility for all areas of the year-end audit
- Manage relationship with local auditors
- Ensure integrity of inventory
- Preparation of quarterly profit, balance sheet and cash flow forecast
- Preparation of annual budget and co-ordination of management plan
- Provide an input into Lucy Electric’s medium-term strategic plan
- Responsibility for funding and cash flow management
- Analyse and review forecast and budget results
- Perform variance analysis against budget (forecast) and prior year results
- Responsibility for foreign currency conversion (working with Group Treasury department)
- Responsibility for customer credit limits and cash collections
- Manage local banking relationships
- Compliance with local tax regulations
- Responsibility for both direct and in-direct taxes
- Manage the relationship with local tax specialist
- Liaison with Group Tax department
- Provide financial information and advice to support decision making by the CEO and local management
- Develop financial and operating management information
- Support for sales tendering and perform financial reviews of key tender and contract terms and conditions
- Supporting business initiatives (e.g. outsourcing, cost control and reduction)
- Fixed asset investment appraisal
- Network with local management to improve information for decision making
- Provide financial models
- Support external relationships with key stakeholders
- Represent Finance in the development of Microsoft D365
- Support the development of best practice and performance metrics
- Day to day staff management

Qualifications/ Experience
- CA (SA)
- Education to degree level or equivalent
Essential Experience:
- 5 years’ accounting experience within a commercial and manufacturing business.
- Strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial employees
- Able to produce management reports with the ability to present the results in meetings
- Extensive experience in analysing data for decision making purposes and able to communicate the findings for all levels
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to document business procedures
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modelling
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the electrical supply industry
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft D365
- Sound IFRS knowledge.
