Project Engineer – Electrical (Solar Project)

An experienced and technically sound Project Engineer – Electrical with specialized expertise in solar PV systems, electrical infrastructure, and power distribution for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and implement electrical systems for solar PV projects, including layout of panels, inverters, and grid connections.

· Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, and protection system design.

· Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, and local electrical codes and standards.

· Supervise installation, commissioning, and performance testing of electrical components.

· Interface with utility providers and manage grid-tie approvals.

· Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports.

Skills & Competencies:

· Strong command of electrical design tools (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst).

· Deep understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and protection devices.

· Experience in grid-connected and off-grid solar project development.

· Effective communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

· 3–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with focus on solar energy projects.

· Certifications in solar PV or electrical design are an advantage
