Commercial Manager – Harare

Are you a seasoned commercial leader ready to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence? Our well-established FMCG company is seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager to spearhead its commercial strategy, optimize revenue streams, and lead high-performing teams across sales, marketing, distribution, and key customer relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead sales, marketing, and distribution teams to deliver growth in revenue and market share.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
  • Oversee customer relationship management, ensuring top-tier service and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective measures for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, procurement, and production) to streamline supply chain and product delivery.
  • Prepare and manage commercial budgets, forecasts, and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a senior commercial or strategic role within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering growth, managing large teams, and driving business transformation.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, route-to-market models, and customer/channel development.
  • Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
  • A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related field will be an added advantage.
