Junior Imports Officer
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
We are seeking a Junior Imports Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant importation of goods, working closely with suppliers, clearing agents, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all import documentation and processes.
- Liaise with ZIMRA, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely customs clearance.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with local import regulations and customs requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and related documentation.
- Support internal departments with updates on shipment status and import-related queries.
Requirements:
- A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in imports and working with customs regulations.
- Strong knowledge of import documentation and procedures (including tariffs, HS codes, and customs valuations).
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with customs systems (e.g., ASYCUDA World).
