Our client is a globally recognized professional services firm, committed to delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to leading organizations across various industries. They are looking for dynamic professionals to join their team of audit department. They are currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Assistant Manager – Audit with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Audit will be responsible for managing and delivering audit engagements of varying complexity, maintaining strong client relationships, coaching junior staff, and ensuring the highest quality in audit execution. The role demands strong technical expertise in audit and assurance, the ability to independently lead client engagements, and a commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic and high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities
Engagement Delivery & Client Management

  • Lead and manage audit engagements of medium to high complexity. Perform planning, risk assessments, execution of testing, and finalization of audits. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of audit reports. Maintain strong client relationships with a focus on service delivery and quality.

Technical Execution

  • Design, perform, and review Tests of Operating Effectiveness (TOE). Ensure all audit work is properly documented and complies with internal and external audit standards. Review audit working papers and uphold professional standards in execution.

People Management & Coaching

  • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior team members. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and team development.

Continuous Learning & Compliance

  • Attend mandatory technical and professional training sessions. Keep abreast of developments in audit standards, tools, and industry practices to maintain audit quality and innovation.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or completed Higher School Certificate (HSC). Possession of a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in audit and assurance. Prior experience managing external audit engagements is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology, internal controls, and risk assessment processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
