Restaurant Administrator
A leading and fast-paced restaurant franchise in Harare is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Administrator to support day-to-day operations at one of its busiest branches. This role requires someone who thrives under pressure, is solutions-driven, and can handle the demands of a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks, including submission of employee documents, invoice capturing, and daily cash-ups with feedback to the General Manager.
- Maintain strong control of storeroom stock, identifying and acting on variances, with feedback and action plans to prevent losses.
- Communicate consistently with the management team through detailed post-shift handovers and email summaries.
- Conduct brief changeover meetings to ensure smooth transitions and that all operational requirements are met.
- Oversee daily security checks and ensure all pre- and post-shift checklists are accurately completed, reviewed, and filed.
- Ensure compliance with operational KPIs, including achieving an 80%+ pass rate on internal audits.
- Take ownership of recording and explaining stock variances and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Perform additional operational tasks as required by management.
Requirements:
- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (daytimes are generally free).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of GAAP systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Must be comfortable taking ownership of processes and being accountable for variances and operational outcomes.
