We are seeking a seasoned and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join our client’s workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcycles, as well as ordering parts and conducting quality inspections. This job requires exceptional communication and time management skills, as well as a thorough understanding of motorcycle mechanics and safety protocols.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting routine maintenance checks on motorcycles
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and determining appropriate solutions
- Repairing or replacing defective parts
- Tuning engines to ensure high performance and efficiency
- Performing safety inspections on bikes
- Using specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs
- Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
- Assisting customers with technical questions and providing advice on proper maintenance and care of their motorcycles
- Staying up to date with industry developments and new technologies in motorcycle repair and maintenance
Minimum Requirements:
- Class 1 Journeyman Certificate.
- Formal training in motorcycle repair and maintenance from an accredited trade school or community college
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on motorcycles
- Knowledge of motorcycle engines, transmission systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to use specialized tools and equipment for motorcycle repair and maintenance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of positions for extended periods
