Workshop Manager
An established player in the motor and assembly industry is looking for a Workshop Manager to take full operational responsibility for their busy workshop based in Workington, Harare. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone with mechanical experience, strong knowledge of electrics, and a firm but fair approach to team management.
You’ll be responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining high standards across all divisions, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee workshop operations and team performance
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on time
- Lead, motivate, and where necessary, discipline team members
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Manage workflow, timelines, and job allocation
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid mechanical background and understanding of electrical systems
- Strong leadership skills with a sense of urgency and accountability
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous
