Our client in Afungi is looking for Airport Duty Managers to join their team for a job vacancy within the Air Transport Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ground Handling: Oversee all ground handling operations, including passenger services, baggage handling, aircraft marshalling, and ramp operations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Fuel Services: Manage aircraft fueling operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality control, and environmental regulations.
  • Fire Services: Supervise the airport fire and rescue team, ensuring readiness, proper training, and compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and ACI best practices.
  • Aviation Security Services: Direct aviation security operations, including passenger and baggage screening, access control, and coordination with local and national security agencies to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.

Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in airport operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Proven experience in ground handling, fuel services, fire services, or aviation security.
  • Certifications:
    • ICAO or ACI certifications in airport operations or aviation security (preferred).
