Our client in Zimbabwe is looking for an experienced Process/Plant Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Gold Mining industry.
Our client, a prominent player in the gold mining industry, is seeking an experienced Process/Plant Manager to lead the processing operations for a complex plant handling both Gold/Copper processing experience covering CIL/P and Flotation.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the process plant to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
- Oversee both Carbon-in-Leach/Carbon-in-Pulp (CIL/CIP) and Flotation circuits to achieve targeted recovery and throughput.
- Drive process optimization and metallurgical performance improvements.
- Manage plant budgets, resource allocation, and technical teams to deliver production targets.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership during plant construction, commissioning, and ramp-up, where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, mining, and project development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mineral processing, with specific expertise in both gold (CIL/CIP) and copper (flotation) processing.
- Proven track record in leadership roles within processing plants, preferably at HOD or senior superintendent level.
- Experience in process plant construction management and commissioning will be a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
