Our client in South Africa, Pretoria is looking for a Supervisor – Building to join their team for a job vacancy within the Manufacturing/ Financial Services industry.

Purpose
To supervise and perform activities related to the maintenance, modification of buildings, infrastructure projects, furniture and building space optimisation.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Maintain, modify and repair building structures and furniture according to specification and design.
• Assist in building and infrastructure projects.
• Supervise a team through development, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Supervise contracts when working onsite.
• Ensure the optimisation of space within buildings.
• Meet the monthly targets in respect of corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure the ERP system is updated with opening and closing of job cards.
• Responsible to ensure compliance to internal policies, procedures and OHS Act.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required by the Company.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both companies’ employees and contractors.
The preferred candidate is likely to have:
• Matric, N3 in Building or Civil Engineering and a relevant Trade Test are essential
• 3-5 years’ experience building with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
