Are you an accounting/bookkeeping professional with strong Xero expertise and a solid background in UK accounting standards? Our client is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented candidate to join their growing offshore finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain international experience and work directly with UK-based clients, you’ll play a vital role in managing client accounts, ensuring compliance with UK regulations, and supporting the success of a diverse client portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain financial records using Xero Cloud Accounting Software
• Process all client transactions including sales, purchases, and expenses
• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain clean sales and purchase ledgers
• Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and CIS returns in line with HMRC requirements
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Liaise directly with UK clients to resolve queries and advise on financial matters
• Ensure full compliance with UK accounting standards and reporting deadlines
• Collaborate with UK-based managers and contribute to ongoing process improvements

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Xero, including advanced features (e.g., reconciliation, reporting, automation rules) ESSENTIAL
• Solid knowledge of UK VAT, CIS, and UK bookkeeping regulations
• Experience working with UK clients or in a UK-based accounting environment ESSENTIAL
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients in a deadline-driven environment
