Our client in Zimbabwe is looking for a well-spoken and proactive Maintenance Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Poultry Farming industry.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager with expertise in hatchery maintenance and electrical systems to oversee the upkeep and optimization of our poultry hatchery operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in maintaining hatchery equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical infrastructure. Additionally, they should be well-spoken, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be capable of assisting overseas clients with troubleshooting and setting up hatcheries.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of incubators, hatchers, ventilation systems, and other hatchery equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and ensure optimal performance of temperature, humidity, and ventilation controls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues affecting hatchery operations.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems, including backup generators, control panels, and automated feeding systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in hatchery machinery and facility systems.
- Supervise electrical installations for new hatchery setups and upgrades.
- Assist international clients with remote and on-site troubleshooting of hatchery systems.
- Provide technical guidance on installing, setting up, and maintaining hatchery equipment.
- Communicate effectively with overseas clients and suppliers to resolve maintenance and operational issues.
- Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions for clients on hatchery operations and equipment maintenance.
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely execution of repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and biosecurity protocols in the hatchery.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance and technical support
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hatchery maintenance, electrical systems, or industrial machinery maintenance.
- Strong understanding of hatchery operations, incubators, ventilation, and temperature control systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, and automation systems is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with overseas clients and provide technical support.
- Ability to train and guide clients on equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
