Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the activities of the department that deals with purchases and sourcing.
  • Assigning duties to each staff member and reviewing their work.
  • Making plans for the purchase of new equipment, services, and other supplies.
  • Negotiating contracts and finding the ideal suppliers to improve the organisation’s performance.
  • Evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, parts, or goods.

Requirement

• Basic level qualification is essential.
• Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, or similar role.
• Computer literacy qualification is essential. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized
spreadsheets and word processing applications.
• Procurement Software and Asset Software experience is essential.
• Accounting Software is an advantage.
