Cost Controller

We are hiring!

Our client in Maputo is looking for a  Cost Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Logistics and Transport Sector and a proven track record in the relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze and control the costs associated with a project, such as large-scale construction projects where there are multiple subcontractors, inspectors and suppliers who all need paying.
• Find forecasting expenditures, planning budgets, classifying costs by type, tracking man-hours allocated to a project, verifying supplier invoices and managing change events that impact the budget.
• Perform these tasks alone and work as part of a larger project team.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or in a related discipline and eligible for, or progressing towards, membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
• Extensive knowledge business process design and improvement.
• Experience working in customer service and technology environments.
• Extensive knowledge of logistics and transportation.
