Summary
- Planning, organising and supervising the activities of a mine
- Planning future mine production and overseeing the development and tunnelling of the mine
- Monitoring and evaluating the production targets, quality of stone, rock and minerals, and health and safety issues of the mining company
- Meeting with suppliers of raw materials to negotiate pricing terms and purchase agreements
- Reviewing reports on production levels, equipment breakdowns, mine accidents, and other relevant data to identify potential problems and provide solutions
- Reviewing and enforcing safety regulations, standards, and procedures at all times
Requirement
10 years’ mining experience with base metals – preferably with gold mining experience
