Our client in the agriculture industry is looking for the following:

Central Stores Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining & implementing financial systems at Central Stores and ensuring all SOPs are adhered to.
• Responsible for entering & posting Central Stores accounts payables/receivables & stock inventory into appropriate accounts timeously.
• Responsible for monitoring month-end stock takes & analyzing stock-sheets.
• Responsible for generating & analyzing financial reports as required.
• Responsible for leading & managing the Central Stores accounting team.

Qualifications and Competences

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
• At least five years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with accounting software and data entry.
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
• Analytical skills

• Proven track record demonstrating individual’s ability to maintain sound relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders as well as being able to effectively lead a team.
