Our client, a company expanding its operations from Nigeria to Kenya, is seeking a talented Marketing/Business Development Manager to join their team in Nairobi. This exciting role is open to Kenyan nationals and offers an opportunity to spearhead the company’s presence in the Kenyan market. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in developing trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. Additionally, the role involves managing trade promotions from planning to execution, along with conducting thorough analyses of market trends in betting promotions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trade marketing strategies to increase brand presence and sales.
  • Until Marketing Manager is hired, coordinate and plan promotions, activations and merchandise distribution across Zambia.
  • Manage trade promotions, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Analyze market trends in betting promotions/
  • Develop relationships with tipsters and promotion companies.
  • Measure and report effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing, preferably in gaming/betting.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail dynamics.
  • Decent understanding of the informal trade environment in Zambia.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in either the beverage, alcohol, telecommunications, or gambling sectors.
  • Ability to build relationships with local businesses and influencers.
  • Creativity in developing promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in using basic marketing and sales tools.
