Our client, a company based in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic Customer Support Team Leader to spearhead operations in their newly expanded Kenyan market. The position will be based in Nairobi, and open to Kenyan nationals. The role entails establishing and managing a proficient customer support team within the context of a betting environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment and management of the customer support team in a betting environment.
  • Develop and implement support strategies for betting services, including high-volume event handling.
  • Train and mentor the team on betting products, industry regulations, and customer service excellence.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement and optimize call center technology and systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Professional certification in customer service or call centre management, or bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in setting up and/or leading a customer support or call centre team.
  • Strong understanding of call centre technology and CRM systems.
  • Expertise in betting products and industry-specific customer service challenges.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on team development and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and mentor a finance team.
  • Familiarity with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
