Mine Manager
A high impact, strategically, commercially, and operationally astute Mine Manager is sought with a demonstrable track record of contributing significantly to increased production, exceptional cost control and safety. The right candidate will be responsible for the following amongst other duties:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the workforce.
- Responsible for the overall management of mining projects.
- Ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Meeting production targets.
- Planning and coordinating mining activities.
- Production planning and scheduling.
- Annual and five-year budget proposals and presentations.
- Monitoring and reporting of operations including safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mining Engineering Honours Degree or equivalent
- Certificate in Drilling with a full blasting license
- 8 years’ experience in mining environment with 3 years as a Plant Manager
- Conversant with mining regulations and ability to stay up to date with changes within the sector.
