PRI Mozambique is hiring an Environmental Affairs Manager

DESCRIPTION:
• Review Environmental Impact Assessment and Resettlement Action Plan Consulting teams, and train staff at all levels in Environmental, social and HSE.
• Follow up requisite legal Environmental license, Water license, dams approval processes.
• Manage the development and implementation of an internal Environmental, Social, HSE management system in line with the policies, including audit and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Mozambican environmental, Social, HSE legislation and ensure adequate reporting to authorities, 
 


REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in related areas (Geography, Sociology, Environmental, Agriculture and Forestry).
• At least 5 years of experience in community development projects, HSE and also administration.
• Broad knowledge of the Environmental and social assessment/ Management.
• Experience with development and implementation of ES management systems and ISO 9000, 14000 or GlobalGap.
• Experience and understanding of agriculture/ agribusiness and rural development would be an advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License and computer literacy.
• Excellent Communication skills in English and Portuguese.
