Our client in Gauteng, South Africa is looking for a Tier 2 Support Technician to join their team for a job vacancy within the IT industry.

Main Purpose

To provide basic and mid-level Desktop, network and basic server support to clients on various aspects of their IT as quickly, competently and efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities

  1. Retention of the client by giving exceptional service.
  2. Efficiency and effectiveness resulting from improved technical service deliver.
  3. Data accuracy and relevance for managing the business operations.
  4. Delivering the service three times faster than the client expects with high levels of communication.

Requirements

  1. At least 5+ years of active and current experience in the Tier 2 arena.
  2. All technical infrastructure basic servers/networking systems processes, desktop security, desktop, remote cloud computing, Microsoft 365 administration, hosting, web services hardware/software, multiple devices e.g. PC & Mac, Mobile etc.
  3. Technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  4. Solution orientation/Problem Solving.
  5. Process orientation.
  6. Relationship Management & Conflict Resolution
  7. Willing to go the extra mile as needed.

Please note a fixed term contract for three-months will be offered to the successful candidate. Based on the outcome of performance reviews, a permanent contract may be considered.
