The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company\u2019s financial records, compliance with tax regulations, and timely financial reporting. They will be ultimately accountable for these areas, while building and leading a team to effectively execute and delegate responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information adn how to apply, please follow the link below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reconciliations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and that the general ledger reflects the true financial position.<\/li>\n<li>Review reconciliations prepared by accountants\/accounts assistants and confirm their accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate unresolved reconciliation issues as necessary, keeping the Finance Manager (FM) informed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Petty Cash Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify that general ledger balances match M-Pesa statement balances.<\/li>\n<li>Review for unsupported payments and ensure all support documents are auditable and valid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accounts Payables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confirm that all invoices are booked correctly, avoiding double bookings.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure payables reflect true and auditable amounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Stock Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct checks on bikes, phones, and GPS devices stock to confirm alignment between physical counts and recorded balances.<\/li>\n<li>Help develop and sustain a proper inventory system that will keep a check on operation and ensure our inventory is verifiable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Taxation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all taxes are filed accurately and on time, including VAT, WHT, WHVAT, CIT, and Excise Duty.<\/li>\n<li>Review and maintain accurate tax GL balances.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the cash flow analyst to ensure funds are available for timely tax payments.<\/li>\n<li>Provide insights into areas for improved tax compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Take ownership of monthly and annual tax computations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Financial Statements (Working with the Management Accountant)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate interim and final audits and prepare financial statements in collaboration with supporting staff.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and enforce adherence to deadlines for both Group and local reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Month-End Closing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as deputy to the Finance Manager, taking full ownership of finance operations and decision-making in their absence.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and complete trial balances (TBs) for all local entities by the 4th working day of the following month.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and guide the team in meeting subdivided deadlines for efficient reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>CPA-K qualification or equivalent professional certification.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools,<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years&#8217; experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and compliance requirements<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in accounting systems, with experience in SAP By Design preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all financial processes.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
